ABOUT Slave Trade

Slave trade had a Big effect of The Afro-Guyanese population. The exact date for the first abolition is Unknown. Enslaved Africans were taken from Africa By Europeans and ,mostly were slaved on ships. African slaves were inspected by prospective buyers, Naked. All slaves were exposed. Buyers didn't want to buy any sick slave. buyers also didn't care about separating families (ABS Contributor) 

Resistance To Slavery

Over time slave's Got tired of got tired of being beat and abused. So they started their own movement Called "The Bernice slave uprising." It Began around the 17th century. It was more blacks & African American's then any other culture on the Berbice. But Through time, the population of the Berbice Increased. The Berbice Spread throughout slave's, by telling one Another on other plantations about the movement. When they felt like the population of the Berbice grew enough, They fought back. The dutch settlers didn't know how to react so they fled north.

       Guyana culture reflects the influence of other cultures, such as India, Portuguese, Chinese and, A few more. Their main language is English. Their most known for being the only English- Speaking country in South America. Their music is mixed with African, Indian, European and, Latin elements. Their major sports are football & cricket. The game Cricket , Is the Game Baseball in New York. Visual are is very important in Guyana. But their are few National symbols or metaphors to represent them.
